The programme is tailored to senior global executive leaders seeking to develop their leadership capabilities for the future.

CISL provides world-class insight for business, policymakers and financial institutions on topics of strategic global foresight, geopolitics, business strategy, and sustainability as a driver of competitiveness.

Mannaz equips leaders to excel within their organisations by focusing on strategic execution, system navigation, rethinking human and AI interaction, and organisational impact.

By combining the research and strategic insights from collaborating partner the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) with Mannaz’s systemic and human-centric perspective and practical methodologies, we provide a space for executives to connect with experts and peers to consider their contexts, their organisations, the future of work and what leadership to cultivate to bring their businesses well into the future.

Participants will also join an exclusive global network of 3,700 senior leaders (alumni’s) from more than 1,750 organisations in 100 countries.

The programme spans nine months. Five months with key modules, followed by a sustaining impact & network module after four months. It includes modules delivered at The University of Cambridge and in Copenhagen.

The programme uniquely includes the CISL flagship ‘Business & Sustainability Programme’ and gives delegates access to the University of Cambridge CISL Network, where the participating leaders will join other senior executives from around the world and be part of the Cambridge community.

Who should attend the Global Executive Leadership programme?

Attendees are executives and senior leaders, either individually or in small leadership teams, who are facing adaptive challenges, transformation, and strategic execution in complex environments.

All applications are carefully screened to ensure a high-calibre cohort and an optimal learning experience. Delegates typically demonstrate:

  • A senior leadership position with significant influence over organisational strategy and decision-making.
  • A proven ambition to move their organisation beyond business as usual.
  • The ability to effect change at scale, both within and beyond their organisation.

Programme structure and content

The programme is meticulously designed around the leadership dilemmas and opportunities inherent at the executive level of responsibility. It combines an intense 3.5-day residential Cambridge programme with a series of 1-day deep dives and leadership labs and action learning to support the executives in developing their leadership and business.

The University of Cambridge, CISL, provides world-class insight for business, policymakers and financial institutions on topics of strategic global foresight, business strategy, and sustainability as a driver of competitiveness. Module 2 is devoted to immersing in The University of Cambridge’s expertise and the sparring with a global network of executives.

Mannaz equips leaders to excel by focusing on strategic thinking and execution in their contexts gaining outside-in perspectives from Mannaz consultants and executive peers on their leadership roles, challenges, and opportunities. We do this in Module 3-5 in a combination of deep dives into key topics and leadership labs.

Deep dive topics will include a systemic approach – strategy execution through collaboration in the value chain and industry, sector and ecosystems – and the rethinking of human and AI collaboration and having a clear inner compass to navigate in high complexity.

The programme has a strong action learning approach where leaders work in depth with their own challenges both in modules and in their contexts. In Modules 3-5, dedicated leadership labs will spotlight participants, ensuring that all participants benefit from in-depth, personalised development.

The prioritisation and depth of the various themes will be tailored to reflect the group’s interests and current challenges. Module 6 takes place after a 4 months period to support the executives creating lasting impact.

The Future of Work – Leading humans and AI (Copenhagen)
  • Curated research on The Future of Work and what it asks of your leadership.
  • The capabilities of AI are continuously developing, making it a must for leaders to refresh their approach to organising the work and decision-making. Exploring with an open mind how AI and human efforts and collaboration can be fruitful and support the business and competitiveness.
  • Coaching and sparring on your leadership challenge by peers and Mannaz.
  • Network dinner.

Module 5:

Leading across multiple arenas and contexts (Copenhagen)
  • Strategy execution through collaboration in the value chain and industry, sector and ecosystems. Convening and orchestrating internal and external stakeholders is often needed to explore and innovate and finding a realistic risk-sharing to really be competitive.
  • What is effective leadership in the different arenas? Explore different operating models and leadership styles. Zooming in on collaborative leadership – what & when.
  • Coaching and sparring on your leadership challenge by peers and Mannaz
  • Strategic briefs & backbrief to get both autonomy and aligned action
  • Network dinner
  • Time: 12.30-21.00

Module 6:

Sustaining impact & network (Copenhagen)
  • Theme selected based on participant requests. What will be most relevant to explore with the programme peers to strengthen leadership impact.
  • Space to share and discuss challenges and opportunities arisen after the first five modules and the chosen actions and efforts based on the previous modules.
  • Networking dinner.

Gain new Insights of your leadership profile with the Hogan Personality Assessment

As an optional, extra package, we offer a Hogan assessment, a Hogan feedback session as well as a Hogan follow-up coaching session as a personal part of this programme.

Hogan’s personal assessment tools are a suite of workplace psychometric tests including the Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI), which measures “bright-side” personality traits; the Hogan Development Survey (HDS), which identifies potential “derailers” or negative behaviors under stress; and the Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI), which assesses core values and what drives an individual.
