You’ll get a useful expansion of your PRINCE2® toolbox, whether your company practices agile working methods or not. You get a deep knowledge of how agile tools such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Startup can contribute positively to a project environment.

The course focuses on the best parts of several agile approaches, rather than being targeted at a specific method. So, it’s not necessary to have worked with the specific methods to benefit from PRINCE2® Agile.

How to prepare for the courses

PRINCE2® Agile Foundation
You should plan to spend 30—50 hours of preparation reading and solving assignments for PRINCE2® Agile Foundation.

All preparation material and information about your exam will be available on My Mannaz approx. 3-4 weeks before the course starts. You will also receive your PRINCE2 Agile manual 3-4 weeks before the course. The manuel is used on both courses.

It is important you prepare before the course starts to get the most out of it. The individual assignments, which you complete in the evenings between course days, are an important part of preparing to pass the exam.

PRINCE2® Agile Practitioner
You should plan to spend 30-50 hours of preparation, i.e. reading the PRINCE2® Agile manual and completing a test exam.

The preparation material will be available on our Learning Management Platform about 3-4 weeks before the course starts.

It is important you prepare before the course to get the most out of the course and to be as well-prepared as possible for the exam.

A significant part of the preparation for passing the exam includes individual tasks that you need to complete in the evening between the course days.

Prerequisites for taking your PRINCE2® certification exams

There are no prerequisites for taking a PRINCE2® Agile Foundation certification. However, there are prerequisites if you wish to take an Agile Practitioner certification.

You can take the PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner certificate if you hold any of the following certifications:

  • PRINCE2® Agile Foundation
  • PRINCE2® Agile Foundation (Version 1)
  • PRINCE2® Agile Practitioner (Version 1)

About your PRINCE2® exams

The PRINCE2® Agile Foundation exam has the following format:

  • Multiple choice questions in English
  • 40 questions per paper
  • 24 marks required (out of 40 available) to pass: 60%
  • One hour’s (60 minutes) duration
  • Closed book

If you pass your exam, you will receive your official PRINCE2® Agile Foundation certificate electronically directly from PeopleCert.

The design, formulation, and correction of your exam is carried out by PeopleCert who administer PRINCE2®.

Once you have passed your exam, you will receive your official PRINCE2® Foundation certificate electronically directly from PeopleCert.

The PRINCE2® Agile Practitioner exam has the following format:

  • Objective testing
  • 50 questions each worth one mark
  • 30 marks or more required to pass out of 50 questions: 60% pass mark
  • Two-and-a-half hours (150 minutes) duration, if English is your native language. 3 hours and 10 minutes (190 minutes) duration, if English is not your native language, no additional reading time
  • Open book exam

The design, formulation, and correction of your exam are carried out by PeopleCert who administer PRINCE2 Agile®.

Once you have passed your exam, you will receive your official PRINCE2 Agile® Practitioner certificate electronically directly from PeopleCert.

How your online exams are conducted

You will take your exams online directly with the official exam provider, PeopleCert, on your own after completing the courses.

In connection with your courses, we will send you an exam voucher for PRINCE2® Agile Foundation and PRINCE2® Agile Practitioner, respectively, and you book your exams directly with PeopleCert.

You can choose the day and time that best suits your schedule.

We will, of course, also send you a detailed description of what you need to be aware of regarding your online exams.

Certification validity and expiry date

PRINCE2® Agile Foundation and PRINCE2® Agile Practitioner certification’s validity is 3 years, where the holder may either re-sit the exam or maintain validity through PeopleCert Plus membership.

PeopleCert Plus is PeopleCert’s exclusive membership programme that helps you prepare for your exam and continuously stay up-to-date with the ITIL, PRINCE2, MoR, MOP, P3O, MoV, Resilia, AgileShift frameworks.
