Experience

I am a Client Director and a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with a background in leadership assessment, development and organizational change. Most of my career has been spent in London working for a variety of international consultancies. However, I have also spent time living and working as a Leadership consultant in Hong Kong. Throughout most of my career, I have designed, facilitated and managed region-wide leadership and talent solutions and have enjoyed the myriad of cross-cultural insights that these have offered.

My primary role in Mannaz is to help organisations achieve their goals through enhanced leadership. I feel fortunate to be able to utilise both my commercial experiences and my background in applied psychology to do this – Building capability, shifting organisational culture and creating traction for large-scale change. My greatest joy professionally is seeing the wider impact of our work and building the trusting client relationships that allow success to happen.

Leaders & Teams The Listening Gap: The Hidden biases that stop leaders from truly connecting

It has long been acknowledged that across a leader’s career, there are some fundamental skills that will have helped them get them to where they are. One of those skills is undoubtedly listening. However, recent research suggests that the very role of leadership itself can make it difficult for those in senior positions to exercise this skill. In this article, Stuart Schofield (Client Director) looks at the very human impulses and biases that get in the way of listening and what leaders can do to help minimise these biases.

Coaching & Assessment The Importance of Delivering Effective Feedback

Whether it’s a friend, a colleague or a spouse, the giving and receiving of feedback represents an important juncture in any of our relationships. In this article we explore what relationship counsellors might say about the importance of feedback and we offer a practical ‘how to’ guide.
