New technology demands new management

Change is happening faster than ever. New technology, a markedly different work culture in the younger generation, a dramatically changing competition, new demands from citizens and customers – without the old requirements disappearing. At Mannaz, we believe that these challenges can be an advantage.

Digital Transformation?

During a change we clearly see the goal, but when a transformation begins we actually do not know when where we want to end up. In addition, a transformation takes place at high speed and in an iterative process – we must act on the knowledge we gain along the way. Once we recognize that we are in the process of transformation, we should change the organization’s approach and increase focus on agile management – and not just in the IT department.

Strategy

Digital transformation is successful only when it is an integral part of the organization’s strategy. The transformation must be linked to the company’s other strategic areas of focus: customer and stakeholders, processes and, not least, the organisation’s current and future competencies. Finally, it must be addressed how the digital transformation can go from intentions to actions and results.

Understanding technology is a must for leadership

Leaders must set the direction. But that’s difficult if you don’t have a basic understanding of the possibilities that exist. Leaders should not be specialists, but it is a good idea to know the practical applications of technology. Our best advice: Stay curious!

Agile working methods

In a Digital Transformation you don’t always know where you end up and you may no longer be able to keep track of your projects – but you can still manage them. Agile methods such as SCRUM and SAFe® keep projects on track. Agile development can be used for all projects and processes of change – not just IT.
