Read our interview with Catherine Berney. Catherine is a Master of Purpose and Possibilities in Mannaz also known as International Leadership and OD Consultant.
She is an Organisational Psychologist with a background in Finance and Law. Irish, youngest of 5, married to complimentary therapist, mother of two, owner of dog and living in London.
What do you do in Mannaz?
I work intimately and creatively with leaders, building deep trusting client relationships, developing thought leadership, designing, facilitating and enabling individual and organisational excellence. I create possibilities and alignment around purpose with my clients.
What motivates you?
Making a difference in the world by facilitating awareness and consciousness amongst global leaders so that they can develop and grow as human beings and take more accountability for their behaviour.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
- Taking deep spiritual practices into commercial contexts
- Writing my book ‘The Enlightened Organization’
- Working with leaders systemically and in their own unique context to fundamentally impact mindset and performance
- Building close collaborative and highly successful trusted partnerships with my clients
What mistakes have you learned the most from?
I have learnt to be more disruptive and courageous with clients about ‘best practice’ to the extent of walking away when I do not, hand on heart, believe in what is being requested. The mistake being to feel the need to satisfy restricted stakeholder beliefs at a cost to excellence in terms of what leaders and their organization could actually achieve in terms of their full potential.
