Leveraging technology and adopting a new mindset for successful leadership
How do you lead your organisation – or part of it – at a distance? What do you need to pay extra attention to and what specific behaviours are required? Let Mannaz take this opportunity to inspire you and offer you practical suggestions and advice.
When we can’t do what we usually do
During these times, many organisations – both in the private and the public sector – have been forced to accept that we cannot meet as we usually do. New tools such as Skype, Zoom, WebEx, etc. have become part of a new reality. At the same time, the need for leaders who are ‘present’ and attuned to the needs of their team members is as relevant as always; and perhaps even more so in a time of such novelty, insecurity and uncertainty.
What can you do as a leader?
In this seminar we will address topics such as trust, social connection and being present. It goes without saying that this is important in all types of leadership, virtual or not. However, in this seminar we will be exploring how we can build upon and strengthen these qualities.
At the seminar you will meet two of Mannaz’ experienced consultants. Stuart Schofield is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and facilitator at Mannaz and has a specific interest in leadership effectiveness. Lars Østerby has been a leader for many years and has been managing employees and project teams at many different locations around the globe.
During the seminar we will provide practical examples as well as presenting a model that will give you new insights and inspiration regarding leading at a distance.
- Welcome and introduction to the topic
- Physical distance versus perceived distance
- Social connection when leading at a distance
- How can we build trust?
- Practical examples
- Questions from the participants
