Project management – Corporate solutions

International leader in project management – all levels and certifications

Mannaz offers training in project management at all levels ranging from an international level for highly experienced project managers to a basic level for project leaders and participants. We can choose to base the training on one or more of the international Best Practices/certification agreements (link).

We always use facilitators with great practical experience on project management and with educational talent for creating the learning process.

Typical competency solutions

We have the greatest demand for a combination of our PROVEN CONCEPTS that are based on a number of thoroughly tested basic services mixed with elements from your world, making it relevant and of great immediate interest. We generally work with participants’ own, active projects, their current dilemmas, their organisation’s project model(s), their own tools, etc. Our expertise is to select suitable cases. We ensure a mix of putting the best and most current knowledge into play with the organisation’s specific challenges. Our facilitators are rooted so deeply in experience, theories and the latest knowledge that they don’t mind ”stepping down from the pedestal and the holy project principles” but, on the other hand, they are serious enough to know when to challenge the participants to grow wiser from their experience.

A typical solution is based on a number of training modules that cover the many aspects of the project management’s planning as well as human aspects and is concluded with one of the three international certifications.

We make sure that a typical solution is anchored in the organisation so that it is not only a question of a group of wise people returning from the programme who end up not putting their knowledge into play. Because that is not competency development! It is therefore very important to us to involve the management in the COMMITTED LEARING. Without management’s active cooperation, exact knowledge of the project roles and on which demands they should make, as well as an understanding of the essence of the project methods, it all has little effect.

A typical educational process ensures that participants get sparring on their own projects from Mannaz’ facilitators and consultants between the modules. This is where theories and general experience is put to the test – this is where the learning makes a difference! This applies to each individual but also to the department or the organisation as a whole, if the total learning from the participants’ projects is picked up.

On-the-job training – laying down the rails while the train is moving

We are experiencing an increased demand for on-the-job training. The company and the programme director want a specific competency development for specific challenges that may appear along with the project, or are expected to appear. This may involve training but typically also means equipping the project manager, his or her superior and at times the project participants for the challenges. This may also involve planning and completing a professional planning seminar, completing professional quality and risk reviews, equipping the project manager with impact and good communication skills, conducting steering committee and project meetings, etc.

As in good project management, we have had the best experience by developing a planned process in advance allowing for a high degree of improvisation and emerged needs. It is not the spirit of project management to merely strengthen the competencies whenever challenges occur – this is more like putting out a fire than wise prevention. The project management’s spirit is one that requires the courage to be at the forefront with room for quick, but wise reflection along the way. The motto in project management is that one would rather do the right things than do the wrong things the right way.

We typically design a solution based on uncovering the project manager’s individual competencies and the learning areas related to these together with uncovering project challenges and project complexity on the specific project. This serves as the foundation for a strong, personal learning curve as well as good results for the organisation, as the objective is also for the project to be successful.

Mannaz covers a wide range of areas and has so many years of experience in competency development as a core discipline that you are GUARANTEED to obtain a good competency solution, no matter what we think up together. If we don’t believe that it will have an ultimate outcome, we will challenge you until we find the right solution or, as has been the case at times; we will turn down the assignment if we do not believe that your requests will have sufficient effect.
