Founded in Copenhagen in 1975, we now serve clients across the world. Mannaz are among the largest European providers of leadership development, and in 2011, was names as a key competitor to the world’s most prominent business schools in a Boston Consulting Group report.
With our global reach from offices in Copenhagen, London and Hong Kong, and our associate network of more than 375 facilitators worldwide, we can support the world’s largest organisations in developing their leadership capabilities and the ability to execute their strategy.
We work for some of the world’s leading companies because of our innovative and collaborative design of development solutions, our Scandinavian outset and our experiences in developing leaders across the world.
We have 80 employees and among these 25 lead facilitators working from our offices in Copenhagen, London and Hong Kong, strategic partnerships in China and the USA as well as more than 375 highly experienced senior associates in 40 countries. Every year, Mannaz delivers more than 700 programs for more than 10,000 leaders, executives, managers, professionals, and high potentials.

Our name and logo
Mannaz is Old Norse meaning human being. Mannaz is also the name of the ancient Nordic rune letter that symbolises people. As such, Mannaz is among the oldest and most authentic words for human being. In English the word “man” stems from mannaz.
Our logo is handwritten because this in itself carries a reference to the focal point of our business – the unique human being. At the same time, the name refers to our Scandinavian roots.

Today, Mannaz is an international frontrunner with a mission to help leaders and organisations in their efforts to develop the capabilities they need to succeed in business.
Based on a unique set of “learning principles” Mannaz offer real time real life based leadership development which creates immediate results for the individual leader, the team and the organisation.
With a large faculty of senior facilitators, executive coaches, and learning architects from 40 countries, today, Mannaz design and deliver more than 700 programmes for leaders from 40 plus countries annually. All solutions are fully tailored to meet clients’ specific needs.
Founded as DIEU – The Danish Leadership Institute
In 1975 Mannaz was founded by the two engineering societies in Denmark as a merger of their respective technical and management training activities. In the mid-1980s Mannaz became the largest and most prominent provider in Denmark of open programmes in management, leadership, project management and personal development.
After more than half a century Mannaz still offer the exclusive long top executive programme VL in the Danish market. VL was first offered in 1954 by one of the two founding engineering societies which make it among the oldest, if not the oldest, executive programme around.

A long history of international growth and awards
In 1992, the first international and fully-tailored executive development programmes were successfully delivered outside Denmark in Europe, the US and China.
In the 1990s Mannaz positioned itself uniquely in the international market by becoming the first ISO–certified organisation in the industry and, thus far, the only one to be awarded The EFQM European Quality Award for business excellence in 1999.
In 2001 Mannaz celebrated being awarded for being the Best Place to Work in Denmark. In the years that followed, rapid international growth took place with offices in Brussels, London, Berlin, and Copenhagen.
In 2007 the innovative learning approach of Mannaz received international recognition as one of the recipients of the EFMD Excellence in Practice/Innovation in Learning Award.

Global presence
Due to ever-increasing global commitments over the past years, Mannaz has strengthened its global profile by expanding its presence in Asia and the Americas via partners and associates. An office in Hong Kong was opened in 2011 and the European activities were consolidated into the offices in London and Copenhagen.
Today, Mannaz includes 375 senior associates in 40 countries worldwide and is having a core organisation of about 80 full time staff of experts in design, delivery and operations of high impact development activities for executive leaders and project leaders.
