Personal growth and impact is a course that strengthens your mental energy and gives you a number of communication techniques that you can apply in a goal-orientated and constructive way in your everyday life. In addition, you will gain a better understanding of and insight into your own reaction patterns and those of others. |
Retain the overview
The primary goal of the course is to strengthen your ability to stay professional, keep things in perspective, and remain in control in situations where you are under pressure. You will learn a number of techniques for handling new and surprising situations professionally.
On the course, you will work with verbal and non-verbal communication styles. You will learn methods for “really getting through”, so that you are heard, understood, and respected for your views.

This course is aimed at individuals who wish to strengthen their personal influence and impact. You will learn to express yourself with emphasis, calm and presence. This will trigger a positive effect in your collaborations and your relationships with others.

- Plenary discussion: what is understood by the term “personal impact”?
- Transaction analysis
- Test: how do you communicate under pressure?
- Transaction analysis vs. psychoanalytical theory
- Group work: in which situations have you lacked personal impact?
Day 2
- Assertive and submissive behaviour
- Communication theory
- Group work: specific methods for using your personal impact
- Practice exercise: situational communication
- The body’s language and signals
Day 3
- Mental workout
- Believing in success or fearing failure
- Practice exercise: mental workout
- Methods for self-control and inner calm

Learning method
The course comprises an interactive combination of presentations from the facilitator, group work, plenary discussions and training exercises. A test will be incorporated to give you a picture of how you communicate under pressure. The course will also include practical exercises with subsequent feedback and reflection.
Facilitator
Johnny Schultz, MSc in Psychology, has worked with stress, occupational and organisational psychology, and the psychological working environment for many years. Together with his solid background in both theory and practice, continued development in accordance with the latest research forms the foundation for the courses that Johnny Schultz facilitates today.
