
Project Management 1
A project is an isolated task involving the participation of more professional groups which must achieve its set target on time, with the required quality and within budget. The number of this kind of tasks is growing. The project work method places heavy demands on the project manager and the project team. The course Project Management 1 will provide you with the tools you need to meet these demands.
The purpose of the course is to create an understanding of the project work method as a tool. The course will not make you the company expert, but will provide you with a holistic perspective of projects, tools and methods, which you’ll be able to employ straight away. In three days, you will learn to make optimum use of the project work methods.
Participants
The course is designed for anyone who
·Has recently started looking at cross-organisational tasks as projects. The course also meets the needs of anyone for whom the project work method is already an important part of day-to-day operations.
·Is about to start a project or work on cross-organisational tasks in terms of change across the organisation and its products/services
·Is a project manager or a future project manager, and would like to learn about how to gain an overview of a project, its content and method.
For those who have worked with projects for a number of years, the course will give plenty of new input.
Purpose
What exactly is a project and what is project management? What is the best possible way for the project team to achieve its targets? You will learn how to use your strengths and ensure good working relations. And you will become aware of your specific role – as a project manager and as a team member.
Method
The course addresses how to plan project work. You will become better at controlling time, resources and finances. This training will enable you to manage small projects and benefit more from your participation in large projects – to your as well as your organisation’s advantage.
Content
The course will cover subjects that are relevant in all types of projects - internal tasks and tasks that are linked to cooperation with customers or others. You will meet people involved in projects from private as well as public enterprises. You will get the opportunity to work with the project management method in a number of typical situations throughout the stages of a project, i.e. in a case study that will run through the course. You will also learn about cooperation and management processes.
The course will be held in English.
Facilitator
You will meet a facilitator on the course who has a practical experience with projects – both from the public sector and from the private corporate world.
