Learning principles

All Mannaz’ services are characterised by a learning process that has been planned with a focus on active involvement by the participants from start to finish in each development process. The value is directly related to each individual’s own situation and challenges, which increases the opportunity to handle everyday challenges faster and better.

All learning processes that we develop are based on:

  • Tested and documented theories
  • A high degree of professionalism and competencies among our facilitators/consultants
  • Integrity surrounding the learning process with room for confidentiality, openness, mutual respect and trust.

In addition, we build our products/services on the following learning principles:

Reality
At Mannaz, learning takes its starting point in the participants’ own reality and needs. Our facilitators’ contributions are generally very specific and involve tools that can be directly applied in the daily work.

Challenge
In order for participants to profit as much as possible, we make the learning process attentive and challenging.

Dialogue
We base the learning process on an equal dialogue between everybody involved. Therefore, we work with a high level of activity among participants.

Reflection
We deliver ”food for thought” and generally make it a rule to provide participants with room and time to achieve new realisations during the process.

Variation
We strive to incorporate a variation of perspectives, methods and education to optimise the learning value for each individual in our products/services. For example, we often change between contributions, self-reflection, sparring in small groups and plenary presentations.

Action
At Mannaz, learning is based on action: "learning by doing". Whenever possible, we apply role playing, project work, simulation, exercises, etc.
