Mannaz was founded in 1975 and today our Copenhagen office has around 80 employees equally shared between open enrolment and capability development as well as consultancy. Today, Mannaz is Denmarks largest supplier of capability development, consultancy and open enrolment in the areas of leadership development, project management and personal development.
Twenty years ago the first international and fully tailored executive development programmes were delivered outside Denmark in Europe, the U.S. and Asia with great success. In the 1990s the Institute positioned itself uniquely in the international market by becoming the first to be ISO certified in the industry and the only one so far to be awarded The European Quality Award for business excellence in 1999.
Our client loyalty index in Denmark continues to increase and reached a national level of 89 in 2007. In their annual report Ennova, who undertook the survey, writes,”Mannaz/DIEU assert themselves by landing a spot among the absolute top companies compared to the industry and the companies in Dansk KundeIndeks (Danish ClientIndex).”

Our clients - both for open enrolment programmes and customised company programmes are large and medium sized Danish and European companies. Among our clients you find some of the largest Danish companies such as Danfoss, Lego, Novo and SAS as well as public sector organisations and large European companies.
The participants on our open enrolment courses and programmes are executives, senior managers, middle managers and functional specialists.
Our international team in Denmark:
Jørgen Thorsell is Executive Vice President responsible for international activities at Mannaz. He has been with The Mannaz since 1984, with a break from 1987 to 1990 when he gained his Doctorate degree in corporate strategy from United States International University, San Diego. He has extensive experience in designing and implementing leadership and management programmes and he is responsible for the business units providing in-company Management and Leadership Development activities. Jørgen has been a key contributor to initiatives leading to some of Mannaz' major achievements, such as winning the European Quality Award in 1999 and being appointed "Best Place to Work in Denmark" in 2001.

Karine Ambjerg joined Mannaz in 2001 as Customer Relations Director and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Public Administration. With solid knowledge of international marketing acquired in the private sector, Karine developed her career in the Danish and French public sector. Since 1999, Karine has been international management consultant for the Danish School of Public Administration, and Programme Manager for its European Programme in Strategic and International Management. Karine is particularly interested in the areas of leadership and organisational capability.

Bente Thomassen has been with Mannaz since mid 1990'ies as Senior Coach, Programme Director, designing and delivering large management development programmes as well as project management programmes. Holding a Master’s Degree in Philosophy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Bente developed her career in the IT/TelCo industry, and gained extensive project management experience in an international environment, before she specialised in executive education and leadership development. She is particularly interested in executive coaching and is a licensed user of psychometric tools and 360 feedback tools. Prior to her career in the private sector Bente worked in the academic field as Assistant Professor and Researcher at The Royal Danish School of Educational Studies. Bente has continued her work in academia and is currently an Appointed External Examiner for Higher Education.
